Palin’s Busy Week and Odd Press Conference

Thursday, November 13th, 2008

I’ve never heard of the losing Vice Presidential candidate doing anything like what Palin has been doing for the past week. Giving “exclusive” interviews with Today, CNN, and FOX. (When you’re giving interviews to anyone who will listen, is it still “exclusive”?)

Obviously, it’s bid for the 2012 nomination but as Republican Strategist Mike Murphy suggested on “Morning Joe”, Palin should go back to Alaska and try to be a good governor first.

Obama Ad: His Choice

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

A new Obama ad hits John McCain at a growing weak spot according to polls that indicate the majority of voters believe Palin was not a good choice as Vice President. Some noteworthy Republicans (Colin Powell, Kathleen Parker, etc.) have also said McCain’s choice of Vice President showed poor judgement.

More on Sarah Palin’s Clothes

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

Apparently, the $150,000 spent on Sarah Palin’s clothes is only the latest in the Alaska governer’s financial scandals. As governer, she charged her daughter’s trip around the country as an expense to the state government.

Helping out your family and friends with taxpayer dollars once your elected to public office? That’s not change. It’s Dick Cheney and Halliburton.

OUTRAGE OVER PALIN’S $150,000 SHOPPING SPREE

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Republicans are upset over recent news from Politico that the RNC has spent $150,000 on Gov. Sarah Palin’s clothing and hair. This news contradicts her image on the campaign trail as “just a hockey mom” and one of us “regular Joe’s”.

I don’t think very much of this story because it should have been clear that she was nothing like us to begin with. However, I do understand those who are dissapointed to find that she isn’t the Wal-Mart shopping, hockey mom she portrays herself to be. In addition, I’m not sure how many campaign donors would approve of their money being spent on fashion.

Palin Claims The Vice President Is ‘In Charge Of The U.S. Senate’

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

How can anyone construe an argument proving that casting a vote to break a tie makes you “in charge” of the Senate? Sarah say it ain’t so…

Political Attacks

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

The New York Times has an editorial criticizing the McCain-Palin campaign of “running one of the most appalling campaigns we can remember.”

Referring to John McCain and Sarah Palin:

They have gone far beyond the usual fare of quotes taken out of context and distortions of an opponent’s record — into the dark territory of race-baiting and xenophobia. Senator Barack Obama has taken some cheap shots at Mr. McCain, but there is no comparison.
